Synopsis

This book offers an in-depth and structured analysis of the agribusiness sector, highlighting its fundamental role in the global economy. It also addresses key topics such as financial management, the marketing and distribution of agricultural products, and sustainable practices that balance economic growth with environmental and social responsibility. Author Biography

Jacob Eduardo Pittí Rodríguez, Universidad de de Panamá, Panamá

He was born on September 3, 1968, in the township of Volcán, district of Tierras Altas (formerly Bugaba), province of Chiriquí, Panama. The son of a fertile and mountainous land, he grew up in an environment that instilled in him values such as honesty, hard work, and commitment to the community. From an early age, he developed a deep sense of belonging to rural areas, which would later be reflected in his professional career.

An economist by profession, he graduated from the University of Panama and complemented his education with a master's degree in Project Formulation, Evaluation, and Management, a postgraduate degree in Higher Education, and a specialization in Scientific Journal Publishing. His interest in sustainable development and education led him to link economic theory with the productive and cultural realities of indigenous and peasant communities.

Throughout his professional life, he has held various academic management positions at the University of Panama, Bocas del Toro campus, and has been a full-time professor in the areas of Economics, Banking, and Financial Project Evaluation, training hundreds of students and future professionals in the country.
